Overview.
Over the summer of 2023, Bridge organized a five-day camp for over 100 Black and Brown Boston high school students, hosted at the MIT Media Lab, to introduce the participating students to existing STEAM-related (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) opportunities and provide resources on emotional literacy, leadership, and sustainability.
This summer's Bridge Program focused on three key areas:
Leadership & Activism:
Connecting participants with leaders of social change to advance a transformed society
Health and Wellness:
Yoga, meditation, empathy, and emotional literacy workshops to cultivate mindfulness skills, communicate narratives, and promote personal growth
Intersection of Science/Tech & Justice:
In a rapidly changing environmental and technological world, the Bridge Program introduces participants to advanced technological tools and justice-based approaches to address the most urgent challenges of our time.
